Gold Card 金卡

As usual, I was opening the mail box before I enter my house. I received an envolope with another envolope inside. Very funny, I din't received this kind of letter before. I opened the envolope. There was a letter from credit card company saying that they are upgrading my current credit card to the gold card. Then I opened the other envolope. Oh my god! I was so excited. My 1st gold card. I had never dream that I am holding a gold card with my name printed on the card. I started to calm down and read the letter. This is a gold card. But the credit limit is less than my classic card. Hahaha. What a joke... Have to pay double annual fee but less credit limit? I decided not to accept this offer. Called the credit card company to cancel the card on the next day. But I still kept the gold card as souvenir.
But would like to apply another type of gold card. Offer greater benefits...

从小就养成了习惯。回家前一定开信箱。
收到信用卡公司寄来的信。里面有一张金卡。我的天啊！是金卡！一张上面印着我名字的金卡。做梦也没想过可以拥有金卡。
金卡？假的吧。它的最高限额比我的银卡还低。但年费却高出一倍。
开玩笑。我不可能接受这样的金卡。
第二天就拨电去取消这张有名无实的金卡。
第一张金卡。留着做纪念。
希望申请另一种金卡。有更好的待遇。。。
祝我好运。。。

民族的血

农历新年。
趁自己还单身，到处串门子拿红包。
初七早上到阿杰的家拜年。他的家人非常好客。饮料和小食摆到满座。
一位婆婆坐了下来。吸引了大家的目光。
话题聊开了。原来她是阿杰的外婆。洪亮的声音，灿烂的笑容，不像是七十多岁。
聊了几句后，她说我的声音很熟悉。问我住哪里。我说我住蕉赖。
她又问我的家乡在哪儿。我说在怡保。
她说：“不是不是。你中国的家乡在哪儿？”
可把我问倒了。我并不刻意去记。因为只知道我的家乡是怡保万里望。

重点来了。。。

她说：“是不是清远？”

我的天！！！
对！对！对！

她怎么听的？
我可不知我的广东话有乡音。
也从来没人告诉我。。。

我是马来西亚人。是大马的三代的华人。
已经开始遗忘我的祖籍了。
是时候上网找资料。了解我爷爷和婆婆的故乡。
